Air Duct Cleaning in Baltimore, Maryland
Whole-system duct cleaning for Baltimore homes — scoped from an inspection of your ductwork, not from a price list.
Overview
Cleaning the whole system, not just the openings
A duct system in a Baltimore home is usually a main trunk off the air handler, a set of supply branches running to each room, and one or two large returns. Dust settles unevenly across those — the long branch to a back bedroom collects far more than a six-foot run to the hallway. Cleaning only the register openings leaves most of it in place.
We connect vacuum equipment to the trunk so the system is under negative pressure, then work each branch with rotary brushes and compressed-air tools so material travels toward the collection point rather than into the room. Registers come off first and are cleaned separately, which is also how we get a clear look at the boot behind them.
Flex duct in a basement or attic gets handled more gently than rigid metal — that material tears if you treat it like sheet metal. Homes with two or three systems are quoted per system, since each has its own handler, trunk and return.
What a visit includes
- Supply branch runs cleaned individually
- Return lines and return drops
- Main trunk line access and vacuuming
- Registers, grilles and boots removed and washed
- Air handler cabinet and blower compartment inspected
- Access ports sealed with caps
- Floor and furniture protection throughout
- Walk-through of the finished system with you

Also worth handling on the same visit: dryer vent cleaning or, for a business property, commercial air duct cleaning. Check the service areas to confirm we cover your address.

Questions
Air duct cleaning FAQ
What happens during an air duct cleaning visit?+
We walk the system first, note the number of supplies and returns, then connect vacuum equipment to the trunk line and work each branch with rotary brushes and air tools. Registers come off, get cleaned, and go back on. We show you the access points before we close them up.
How long does a typical visit take?+
Most single-system homes take a few hours. Larger homes with two or more air handlers take longer. We give you a time window when we scope the estimate by phone.
Do you need to cut access ports into my ductwork?+
Sometimes. Sheet metal trunk lines usually need a service opening so the vacuum and brushes can reach the run. We show you where before cutting, and every port is sealed with a cap when we finish.
How often should ducts be cleaned?+
There is no single schedule. Homeowners typically ask after a renovation, after buying a house, or when registers look visibly dirty. We would rather look at your system and tell you it can wait than sell you a visit you do not need yet.
